ABOUT THIS SITE

This website is dedicated to mainly panoramic photography but also virtual tours and some landscapes photos. I’m an Edinburgh based professional photographer and while professionally I mainly shoot weddings (my wedding photography can be found at: http://www.chrisradleyphotography.com) I also love shooting high resolution panoramics and virtual tours.

Why do I shoot panoramics? I love to be able to see large vistas. Whereas a single photo shot can look beautiful and in some cases is the correct way to shoot, when the opportunity arises I like to take a photo that shows the viewer the full area.

All of the panoramics in this website are multi shot images stitched together. I use Canon 1d-series cameras with L-series lenses. In some cases images are single row panoramics while others are multi row. Many of the night-time panoramics on this website are single row panoramics. For example, the night panoramic of the National Theatre in Taipei is a single row panoramic but this took over an hour to shoot whereas the Concert Hall, also in Taipei, is a 4 row panoramic with a huge amount of detail but this was shot in about 30 minutes.

There are a couple images on this website which are film photo panoramics and have been marked as such but I do hope you enjoy looking at these photos. Some of the photos can be printed absolutely huge and look really beautiful.

My name is Chris and I live in Edinburgh with my wonderful wife Liv. Along with photography I’m passionate about cycling and I love to travel and dine out. My wife is from Taiwan but thanks to her I’m able to travel to a variety of interesting places in the Far East.
